Job Description

Tosca is currently looking for an HR Coordinator at our Service Center in Portage, IN. This qualified individual will perform various skilled administrative tasks directly related to human resources activities, including recruiting, payroll, and employee relations. The Human Resources Coordinator may also provide administrative support to the HR team as needed.
In this role, you will:
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and coordinate the recruitment process at the local site level, scheduling & conducting interviews for General Production candidates.
  • Process the orders for new hire drug and background checks.
  • Coordinate the start of temps at the site with partnered staffing companies.
  • Be the liaison for Payroll on timecard issues and concerns.
  • Monitor Attendance with Points report.
  • Conduct HR New Hire Orientation and new hire onboarding activities weekly.
  • Provide training support on HR systems, including Success Factors and benefits enrollment.
  • Ensure all site posters are up to date for compliance purposes.
  • Serve as the HR point of contact for team member inquiries and the intake of employee relations concerns.
  • Partner with the site leaders and Regional HR Manager on employee engagement, creating positive culture consistent with Tosca values, and various retention initiatives.
  • Actively gather team member feedback to create a highly desirable work climate.
  • Lead monthly team culture meetings.


  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalency required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility within Human Resources preferred.
  • Intermediate level experience with MS Excel (i.e., creating spreadsheets, v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Problem-solving, analytical skills, and the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail, follow-through, and accountability.
  • Ability to deliver information to team members in a clear, concise manner.
  • Ability to effectively assist and communicate with all levels of team members.
  • High energy and a positive attitude.
  • Strong ability to be flexible, effectively adapt well to change and handle various job responsibilities within the HR function.
