In this role, you will lead all aspects of facility & machine maintenance for the wash center to enable optimal equipment and production performance. 

 

The Maintenance Manager ensures the safe and appropriate operation of equipment through proper diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of production/processing machinery and other mechanical equipment.   

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead site maintenance team members, and build collaborative working relationships with engineering, production management, and team members. 
  • Repair and maintain machinery, mechanical equipment, electrical and computerized systems following diagrams, blueprints, operating manuals, or manufacturer’s specifications.  Equipment examples include pumps, conveyor systems, motors, facility systems (HVAC), etc.  
  • Expand preventative & predictive maintenance programs, including crucial component reliability & work order management. 
  • Determine trends in work order & repair history to identify continuous improvement opportunities. 
  • Reduce downtime by performing root cause analysis on failures.  
  • Identify & lead projects that will reduce cost and increase throughput.  
  • Maintain all Food Safe Sanitation equipment in excellent working condition. 
  • Use basic computer skills to perform maintenance and repair on computer-controlled machinery, PLC controls, VFD drives, and instrumentation.  

 

Qualifications:

 

  • A minimum of 5-years of maintenance experience and 2-5 years of supervisory experience.   
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in industries with strict food safety requirements (e.g., Dairy, Food, and Beverage industry).  
  • Education requirements include post-secondary school credentials in engineering, electrical, mechanical, or trades programs. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems
  • Must be able to systematically diagnose electrical, plumbing, and mechanical problems.  
  • Working knowledge of boilers, PLCs, electrical, VFD drives, compressors, process instrumentation, HVAC, and industrial wash machines.  
  • Demonstrated knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance.  
  • Lean 5S training and experience preferred. 
  • Welding and fabrication skills preferred (MIG, TIG, Arc).
