We are looking for a hands-on, people-focused General Manager to lead our Lakewood Service Center. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, developing teams, improving performance, and creating a culture centered around safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do:
- Lead all day-to-day Service Center operations, including safety, production, quality, maintenance, shipping, receiving, and scheduling
- Build, develop, and coach high-performing operations and maintenance teams
- Drive a strong safety culture through OSHA compliance, audits, inspections, and team engagement
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently maintained
- Manage labor planning and temporary staffing relationships to support operational needs
- Monitor Service Center performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and manage operational budgets while controlling costs and improving efficiencies
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales and other internal teams to support customer solutions and operational success
- Lead performance management activities, including coaching, development, accountability, and recognition
- Create a positive, team-oriented culture focused on operational excellence and customer service
What We Are Looking For:
- 7+ years of operations leadership experience within manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or industrial environments
- Strong leadership experience managing frontline operations and maintenance teams
- Proven background driving safety, quality, and operational performance improvements
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologies preferred
- Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret operational and financial performance metrics
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
- Strong communication, coaching, and team development skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Food safety experience strongly preferred
Pay and Perks:
- Pay: Up to $120,000 annually, based on experience, plus 10% annual performance bonus potential.
