What You'll Do:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will support the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of Tosca’s reusable packaging equipment. This role combines hands-on in-house technical work with field support at customer facilities across the United States, offering variety, ownership, and real operational impact. You will:
- Provide technical service and support at customer facilities, both on-site and remotely
- Repair, rebuild, and refurbish equipment in-house, developing a deep working knowledge of Tosca systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automated equipment and systems
- Support equipment setup, testing, and light programming or controls adjustments (training provided)
- Partner with engineering and internal teams to identify and implement equipment and process improvements
- Assist with engineering changes that improve reliability, extend equipment life, and enhance ease of operation
- Train customer personnel on safe equipment operation, preventive maintenance, and best practices
- Document service activities and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
- Serve as a trusted technical resource supporting long-term reliability and customer satisfaction
Work Location and Schedule:
- Up to 75% of the role is in-house, focused on equipment rebuilds, testing, and continuous improvement
- Approximately 25% travel is expected to support customer facilities coast to coast, offering exposure to a variety of operating environments
- Typical hours follow standard business schedules; flexibility may be required based on service needs and travel
What We Are Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience in field service, industrial maintenance, technical support, or a related role
- Proven troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and/or automation systems
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and travel as needed
- Interest in learning and supporting controls, programming, and system integration
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
- Proficiency with tools, diagnostic equipment, and service documentation systems
- A strong commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement
