The Supply Chain Planner plays a pivotal role in assuring our customers a high level of service. The primary accountability for this individual is to plan and assign customer orders to the Tosca wash sites that match available production capacity, provide a high level of order fulfillment, and minimize freight costs. The Supply Chain Planner will be a subject matter expert in the assigned supply chain and know the returnable packaging supply chain cycle.

This hybrid role allows you to work from home Monday and Friday and onsite at our Colony Square office in Midtown Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan outbound orders by monitoring inventory levels and assigning appropriate plant locations to ship to customers, and following up with customer service on pick-up and deliveries for customers to meet their production schedules.
• Review daily wash site inventory reports and inbound forecasts to validate targeted dirty and clean RPC levels are within expectations.
• Balance inventory across Tosca wash sites to ensure customer order fulfillment and budgeted wash costs are achieved.
• Collaborate on reverse logistics to ensure the appropriate supply of totes is shipped from salvage operations to appropriate wash sites that match or exceed production requirements.
• Work with operations for proper scheduling of production to meet customer orders.
• Monitor customer inventory levels to ensure RPCs turn at a rate expected through the business case and minimize trailer detention where applicable.
• Coordinate daily and monthly inventory activities. This includes collecting inventory levels, updating orders and shipments, forecasting, and leading inventory planning within a supply chain.
• Improve and enhance Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI). Expand the VMI structure into additional suppliers where applicable.
• Work with Tosca's Logistics team to ensure uninterrupted service to our customers.
• Manage reporting to include usage, forecast, and shipping reporting. Assess budget to actual volumes, inventory management, and month-end closing reports as needed.
• Analyze customer reporting data to validate that the customer shipping plan matches the flow of the RPCs
• Support the Sales and Service Representative with routine customer reporting and business review report generation.
• Collaborate with other Tosca Supply Chain Planners and wash sites to change production schedules to ensure uninterrupted customer service.
• Support additional projects and activities within the Supply Chain team as necessary.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or transportation
• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Logistics is highly preferred; other relatable experiences may be considered.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, Access, Power BI, or other similar data analysis programs.
• Knowledge of order fulfillment using an ERP
• Customer service experience via phone with a preference for customer-facing experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills both internally and externally via telephone, email, and in-person
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective customer and internal Tosca relationships
• High level of organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to think quickly, problem solve, make decisions, and resolve issues promptly
• Ability to establish a good rapport with all customer types and various levels of customer contact
• Willingness to travel to support new customer implementation or visit with existing customers with field representatives if required
