Job Description


Tosca is growing, and we are looking for a creative leader for the role of Logistics Manager. The Logistics Manager plays a key role in leading the team responsible for coordinating reverse logistics and transportation management activities. The primary accountability for the Logistics Manager is to manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely returns of Tosca assets through the reverse logistics network in a cost-efficient manner. This role also supports internal customers with project and data management, analytics, and ad-hoc reporting. 


This role will be located at our Corporate Office in Atlanta, GA, but will allow for remote work 2-3 days a week.



Job Responsibilities


  • Leads and supervises the team responsible for all reverse logistics operations and transportation management activities within the assigned function. Pick-up locations can include but are not limited to closed-loop, third party sortation, salvage, food bank, asset recovery, customer location, and more. Ensures the team proactively seeks out our assets for timely return to Tosca service centers and that the targeted lead time is being met.
  • Ensures the backlog of available inventory for daily production at Tosca service centers stays at or above targeted levels to optimize production planning schedules, reducing downtime and changeovers. In addition, proactively communicates with service center operations and the supply chain planning teams surrounding any potential outages and works collaboratively to mitigate cost overages.
  • Supports the production planning team by ensuring optimal seasonal collection routing changes are planned to optimize freight cost and ensure the RPCs are in the right place at the right time. In addition, develops, communicates, and implements transition plans.
  • Improves the effectiveness and efficiency of the team through current technology enablement, training, process improvement, and application of best practices.
  • Ensures consistency and sustainability of processes and mitigates business continuity risks.
  • Collaborates with retailers, third-party logistics providers, and internal & external sortation providers to develop seasonal forecasts to ensure adequate sortation and carrier capacity supports the timely flow of RPCs through the reverse logistics network.
  • Reviews, audits and approves weekly and/or monthly sortation invoices. Escalates any safety, inefficiency, or excessive cost issues to sortation providers for improvement and/or resolution. Provides regular reporting regarding monthly sortation activities and costs.
  • Supports special sortation projects including, but not limited to, new retail sortation program roll-outs and vendor changes.
  • Promotes a culture of safety and efficiency: manages expectations at the salvage and sortation sites to ensure proper loading patterns are being followed and shipments are secured. Encourages Tosca service center team members to consistently report near misses so that data can be used to drive actionable improvement.
  • Supports retail sales with new customer roll-outs and manages the implementation of any new reverse logistics operations.




  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in supply chain, operations management, or logistics management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain or logistics management. Experience in pooled asset collections management is a plus, including:
    • Strong multi-functional background in logistics, supply chain, distribution, warehouse, and service center operations
    • Supply chain KPIs
    • Lean Process/Continuous Improvement, Six-Sigma
    • Process development and improvement
    • APICS/ASCM Certification
  • Experience leading and managing direct and indirect reports, including demonstrated success in coaching, driving results, delivering performance feedback, and motivating a team through collaboration.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Access, QlikView, Power BI, or other similar data analysis programs.
  • High level of positive energy, integrity, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and flexible environment.
  • Proven results in identifying and implementing improvement initiatives.
  • Team player with the ability to influence, interface and gain credibility across different levels in the organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills both internally and externally via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Willingness to travel to Tosca service centers, sortation, and salvage sites, if and when necessary.
