As a Logistics Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our reverse logistics operations, working closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure the seamless and timely return of our reusable assets to service centers. You’ll also play a key role in supporting our retail partners by handling daily customer service, data management, and forecasting—helping to shape a more sustainable future, one shipment at a time.

Work Schedule

This is a hybrid role where Monday and Friday are work-from-home days. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at our Colony Square office in Midtown.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accountable for reverse logistics operations to ensure our reusable assets are collected from retail salvage operations and routed to the appropriate service centers on time. Ensure each service center has adequate levels of inventory to support production goals, avoiding excess change-overs and shut-downs. This includes collecting and monitoring inventory levels, forecasting, updating orders and shipments, reviewing reporting, and proactive communication with internal and external customers.
• Provide exceptional customer service support to our collection locations regarding reverse logistics management. Collection locations can include but are not limited to, closed loop, salvage, food bank, asset recovery, customer location, and more. Work directly with these partners to minimize trailer dwell and driver detention charges.
• Coordinate daily transportation management activities. This includes but is not limited to:
  • Ensuring proper carrier, route, and mode selection is made.
  • Ensuring proper shipping documents are being utilized.
  • Tracking and tracing shipments in the TMS system and Control Tower.
  • Working with salvage operations to ensure the cube is maximized, reduce the amount of non-owned assets being returned to Tosca, ensure trailer pools are adequately utilized, and ensure all shipments are secured and properly braced for transit.
  • Working with third-party logistics providers to ensure appropriate lead times are met and reviewing and approving line haul and accessorial rates when applicable.
• Assist our service center operations team members to ensure all shipments are received accurately and timely in the ERP system(s). Work directly with third-party logistics providers to resolve any paperwork discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or transportation
• A Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations management, or logistics is highly preferred; other relatable experience will be applicable
• Working knowledge of Excel, Access, QlikView, Power BI, or other similar data analysis programs.
• Customer service experience via phone and email
• Excellent oral and written communication skills both internally and externally via phone, email, and in-person
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective customer and teammate relationships
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-email-traffic environment
• High level of organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and re-prioritize
• Ability to think quickly, problem solve, make decisions, and resolve issues on time
• Ability to establish good rapport with all customer types and various levels of customer contact
• Willingness to travel to support new customer implementation or visit with existing customers with field representatives if required
