The Logistics Coordinator is the primary role responsible for coordinating reverse logistics activities. The direct accountability for the Logistics Coordinator is working with internal and external customers to coordinate transportation management activities for the timely return of our reusable assets to our service centers. This role also supports our retail partners with daily customer service activities, data entry, data management, and forecasting. This hybrid role allows you to work from home on Monday and Friday. Tuesday through Thursday will be in our midtown Colony Square office location.

Job Responsibilities

• Accountable for reverse logistics operations to ensure our reusable assets are being collected from retail salvage and sortation operations and are routed to the appropriate service centers on time. Ensure each service center has adequate levels of inventory to support production goals, avoiding excess change-overs and shut-downs. This includes collecting and monitoring inventory levels, forecasting, updating orders and shipments, reviewing reporting, and proactive communication with internal and external customers.
• Provide exceptional customer service support to our collection locations regarding reverse logistics management. Collection locations can include but are not limited to closed-loop, third-party sortation, salvage, food bank, asset recovery, customer location, and more. Work directly with these partners to minimize trailer dwell and driver detention charges.
• Coordinate daily transportation management activities. This includes but is not limited to the following:
  • Ensuring proper carrier, route, and mode selection is made,
  • Ensuring appropriate shipping documents are being utilized,
  • Tracking and tracing shipments in the TMS system,
  • Working with sort and salvage operations to ensure cube is maximized, reduce the amount of non-owned assets being returned to Tosca, trailer pools are being adequately utilized, and provide all shipments are secured and braced adequately for transit,
• Working with third-party logistics providers to ensure appropriate lead times are met and reviewing and approving line haul and accessorial rates when applicable.
• Assist our service center operations team members in ensuring all shipments are received accurately and timely in the ERP system(s). Work directly with third-party logistics providers to resolve any paperwork discrepancies.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or transportation
• A Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations management, or logistics is highly preferred; other relatable experiences will be applicable. 
• Working knowledge of Excel, Access, QlikView, Power BI, or other similar data analysis programs.
• Customer service experience via phone and email
• High level of organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and re-prioritize
• Ability to think quickly, problem solve, make decisions, and resolve issues on time
• Willingness to travel to support new customer implementation or visit with existing customers with field representatives if required
